This collection of vessels explores the space in which the unknown internal is visualised, through the difficult experiences that are invisible. Women’s bodies have become a battlefield through medical invention, so through autobiographical making it highlights the physical and imagined sense of being. Confronting the lack of research surrounding menstrual health leading to extreme solutions which are often not fit for purpose.

The Curtain has 60 hand-embroidered panels, communicating the autobiographic journey with my body. Using historical research answer the question ‘why is menstrual health taboo?’ and ‘why is it poorly research?’.
