Brooch 25

These brooches are individually made with red stoneware clay decorated with a combination of unique glazes made by Kayleigh Peters. Each brooch is one of a kind, and can be pinned on to clothes, bags or just kept as a piece of art on the shelf. Kayleigh has created a palette of glazes that are all designed to be defective, using the crawling, and bubbling nature to visually speak to her themes of hidden illnesses. The act of wearing these brooches becomes a way to open conversations about the challenges of illnesses that are hidden from view.
